Rogue ameba audio hijack pro3/15/2024 ![]() I'm not sure you really need to reboot into recovery mode, but since I already ran these steps from a terminal in "Recovery Mode", it is too late to test it now. I follow the instructions in this article and it solved my issue: My problem was that the ACE driver was not showing up in my "System Preferences -> Security & Privacy" dialog, but it was showing in my "System Information -> Disabled Software" list. ![]() The short of it: After upgrading to Big Sur, I was not able to upgrade and approve a 3rd party driver named ACE (Audio Capture Extentnsion) by Rogue Amoeba (it is installed automatically when you install any of their software like LoopBack, Sound Source, Audio Hijack, etc.). I'm sharing this here because I was looking for a solution for months until a session with an Apple tech support helped me find an article about how to fix this issue. ![]()
